For instance, Diet Pepsi has changed can appearance no fewer than 3 times since 1991.

The one thing that I will disagree with is that the "products" might not be the same, however one must state that the marketing of the dissimilar "products" is the same. For instance, in this last election, Kerry used the same campaign staff that was assembled for the Dukakis campaign. It didn't work in 1988 and it didn't work in 2004. When the Kerry campaign switched campaign staff to the Clinton staff of 1996, there were more results and the picture began to look like Kerry was a competitor.

I feel that the Democratic party needs to re-evaluate their positions and what they are really attempting to accomplish. In the past 30 years, Democratic presidents were able to bring social programs to the forefront due to reduced military spending. Unfortunately, there is no means to reduce military expenditures when you are in the midst of a war. Another item is that even though job creation was one of the pillars of the election, the items brought forth by the party were increased benefits and increased minimum wage, neither of which will create jobs and both of which might stiffle minimum wage job creation.

In short, the Democratic party needs to reassociate what it is that they are trying to do with what the constituency that they would need to support them really wants. As it stands, they have not done that.

Since you like political quizes, here is another one: the Political Compass.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
